COURSES TAUGHT
ENC1101 - "English Composition I"
You know the basics of how to write. What you may not know are the next steps.
In “Comp 1” Dr. Fynboe focuses on how to improve what you have to help you beyond school
and in the work force. You should never walk away from this class wondering,
“When will I use this in the real world?” Because you will. Oh, yes. You will.

ENC1102 - "English Composition II"
1102 is all about research, but why write the same old “controversial topic” essay every time?
Dr. Fynboe’s multimedia-centered course is always changing themes, from role-playing games,
to movies adaptions, to 1990s music videos. What will next semester's focus be?
You have to enroll to find out.

LIT1000 - "Introduction to Literature"
Fiction. Poetry. Drama. The big three lit genres are all here in this course, but do not expect tell-tale hearts, English daffodils, or Shakespeare’s speeches. When Dr. Fynboe introduces you to Literature, the stories have twists, the poetry is from prisons, and the plays mess with your head. This is not just an intro to Lit, but an intro to the world of Lit.

AML2010 - "American Literature to 1865"
John Smith is a greedy psychopath. Washington Irving trolls the media. E.A. Poe hates Nathanial Hawthorne; Hawthorne hates his family. Emily Dickenson uses poems for insulation - If you think early American Lit is “boring,” you don’t know the authors. Dr. Fynboe shows you not only the stories on the page – but the stories behind them, as well.
